Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
JOEY is a product of MADITECH (“JOEY,” “we,” “us,” “our”). JOEY is a personal sales assistant for the individual salesperson. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Service, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to run JOEY for you:
- Account information. Your name, dealership name, email address, and the plan you are on, provided when you sign up.
- Personalization settings. Your rep name, title, voice and tone preferences, sign-off, specialties, and the words you never want said, so JOEY sounds like you.
- Customer and lead data you connect. Names, contact details, vehicle interest, and conversation history that you bring into JOEY so it can do your follow-up. This data belongs to you and your dealership; we act on it on your behalf.
- Usage data. How you interact with the Service, the features you turn on, and basic technical logs we use to keep JOEY running and to fix problems.
- Session recordings and analytics. When you consent to the Analytics cookie category, we record your sessions on our website using session-replay technology so we can see how pages and features are used, reproduce bugs, and improve the product. These recordings can include the pages you view, mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and the general flow of your visit. We mask the text you type into form fields and never capture password fields, and you can opt out at any time (see Section 7). We do not record sessions for visitors who decline the Analytics category.
- Payment information. Handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to run the outreach, follow-up, and call-prep features you have enabled; to send you transactional and service-related messages; to provide support; and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or rent your customers' contact data to anyone.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only in these limited cases: with service providers who run parts of our infrastructure (for example hosting, email delivery, and payments) under contracts that require them to protect it; when you direct us to, such as connecting JOEY to your CRM; and when we are required to by law or to protect the safety and rights of people or the Service. We do not share your data for unrelated advertising.
5. Outreach and TCPA Notice
JOEY sends texts, emails, and calls on behalf of the salesperson and dealership using it. You are the sender. You are responsible for having the proper consent to contact every customer you reach through JOEY and for following the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, state Do-Not-Call rules, and any other law that applies to your outreach. JOEY provides tooling to respect opt-outs; honoring them in good faith is your responsibility too. 6. Data Retention
We keep your account and customer data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you cancel, you can ask us to delete your data, and we will remove it within a reasonable period except where we must keep records to meet a legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligation.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can review and update your account and personalization settings at any time from your dashboard. You can pause JOEY, cancel your plan, or ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. You can change your cookie and analytics choices, including turning off session recording, with the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of any page.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. 8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data protected and to limit who can see it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as JOEY grows. When we make a material change, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, give you additional notice. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
